HONG KONG, 11 November 2020 - Digital Transaction Limited will be actively supporting and participating in this year's virtual Hong Kong Blockchain Week (17-19 November), as a start-up sponsor and exhibitor. Digital Transaction's CMO Noëlle Gahan will feature in the event's speaker line-up with Kenneth Choy, Consultant and Head of Technology Transaction Practice at Nixon Peabody CWL, in a panel discussion titled "Enterprise Blockchain for the Next Decade and its Legal Implications", where they will emphasize why companies looking to accelerate their digital transformation initatives should include 3rd generation blockchain technology as an integral part of their strategy.

New breakthrough blockchain technologies should encompass features such as GDPR privacy compliance (the "right to be forgotten"), provable immutability, speeds of up to 100,000 transactions per second, real-time latencies of less than 0.1 second, and the ability to emulate applications already developed on other blockchains to future-proof companies' existing investments. According to Gartner, "90% of current enterprise blockchain platform implementations will require replacement by 2021" due to their existing limitations and fragmentation, and this replacement will facilitate a shift towards a newew generation of blockchain with full feature sets specifically developed for enterprises.
