Manager, Accounting and Compliance


We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to provide oversight and leadership in a competent manner, performing at a high level of accuracy and expediency.

This position reports to the Financial Controller.

Duties

  • Responsible for account payable, account receivable, cash management, payroll, MPF, tax matters, and insurance.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of the general ledger for each entity.

  • Ensure accurate and timely period and year-end close; include timely reporting of financial information.

  • Ensure internal controls are designed and functioning in compliance with our own policies and procedures with deviation identified and correction action recommended, as well as any government administered regulation.

  • Conduct profit and loss reviews.

  • Manage and ensure that the daily, weekly, period, annual accounting functions/records are performed on a timely basis and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Responds to inquiries from the Controller, Director of Finance and other company wide management regarding financial results, special reporting requests and projects.

  • Support budget and forecast activities and process.

  • Responsible for compliance to regulations required, including but not limited to Internal Revenue Department and how the records are kept.

  • Work co-operatively and diligently with the external auditor(s).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable university. MBA or postgraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

  • CPA or ACCA Licensed.

  • 4+ years hands-on experience in accounting.

  • Significant experience in General Ledger package software.

  • Analytical, budgeting and forecasting experience.

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

  • Can multitask and work independently.

  • Strict compliance with our Code of Ethics: respect doctrines of intellectual property rights, trade secret protection, and fiduciary duties.
